KC Court Connect: Free Municipal Case Review – Amanda Swinney Law

KANSAS CITY, MO, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Amanda Swinney Law announced today that attorney Amanda Swinney is scheduled to participate as a volunteer attorney in Kansas City’s Court Connect event on Friday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kansas City Municipal Court, 511 E. 11th Street in Kansas City, Missouri.

Court Connect is designed to help participants address eligible municipal warrants and cases from several area courts during one event. The program will include free legal assistance and coordinated warrant and case review. Individuals seeking court review must register in advance by Friday, September 18, through the official Kansas City Municipal Court registration page.

“Unresolved municipal cases can create uncertainty and make it difficult for people to know where to begin,” said Swinney. “Court Connect gives participants a structured opportunity to obtain information, speak with legal volunteers and address eligible matters involving several participating courts in one location.”

The courts listed by Kansas City for the October 2 warrant and case review are Kansas City Municipal Court, Grandview Municipal Court, Lee’s Summit Municipal Court, Jackson County Municipal Court Division 301, Raytown Municipal Court, Riverside Municipal Court, Clay County Associate Circuit Court for traffic matters, and North Kansas City Municipal Court for warrant review.

Registration for the warrant and case review is available through the City of Kansas City’s official Court Connect page. Event questions may be directed to Kansas City Municipal Court at court@kcmo.org or (816) 513-2700.

The event will also include the Fourth Annual Community Resource Fair, which is open to everyone. No registration, court case or court business is required to attend the resource fair. Participating agencies are expected to provide free information and assistance concerning employment, education and vocational training, utilities, housing and homelessness, substance-use treatment, mental-health treatment, veterans services and domestic-violence assistance.

“The resource fair recognizes that court-related concerns may exist alongside employment, housing, treatment or family needs,” Swinney said. “Bringing legal and community resources together can make it easier for residents to find the next appropriate step.”
