Today at The Battery Show 2026, the industry’s most anticipated battery and EV event, UNICO, a leader in advanced power conversion technologies, announced the launch of its new 330kW Bidirectional Grid-Tie Inverter (“GTI”). The compact, scalable power conversion platform helps energy systems move power efficiently between DC resources and AC infrastructure, while giving operators flexibility to accommodate different voltages and expand power capacity as needs grow.

“As organizations invest in next-generation infrastructure, determining how much power a system will require years from now can be challenging,” said Mike Canada, CEO of UNICO. “Our Grid-Tie Inverter solves that problem, delivering unmatched flexibility so businesses can ‘future proof’ their operations. Whether supporting solar generation, energy storage, or emerging high-power loads, the UNICO GTI provides efficiency and reliability in a compact, rack-mounted unit.”

The UNICO GTI that is designed and manufactured entirely in the United States, operates at 98.5% efficiency and boasts industry-leading power density of 72W per cubic inch—more than 3X the competition. Flexible architecture supports AC voltages from 380 to 900 VAC and features a programmable DC voltage range from 600 to 1500 VDC, enabling the same platform to address a range of system configurations. Delivering up to 330kW at 900 VAC, it supports parallel operation in groups of ten or more to deliver system power levels exceeding 3.3 MW—spanning the commercial and industrial scale through lower utility scale in a single, consistent architecture. Customers can deploy a single unit for C&I applications, or parallel multiple units to serve utility-scale storage projects, without changing inverter architecture, controls philosophy, or supply chain.

“With the explosion of data centers, increase in alternative power generation, and expansion of battery storage across industries, bidirectional capability at 1,500 VDC is increasingly required but remains underserved at the C&I scale by U.S.-manufactured products,” added Canada. “UNICO’s GTI addresses this genuine gap in the U.S. inverter market and can be used across a wide variety of applications both today and for years to come.”
