Keynote Panel to Feature Mayor Helena Moreno, Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, and Michael Hecht to discuss economic development across the region.
NEW ORLEANS, LA, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Riess LeMieux announced that registration is now open for the fifth annual Blueprint Conference on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District Hotel.
This year’s keynote panel will feature New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno, Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng and Michael Hecht, President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. The panel will focus on economic development across New Orleans, Jefferson Parish, and the surrounding region, bringing together perspectives from local government and regional economic development.
The 2026 program will also feature Matthew H. Baker, Architect, Director of the State of Louisiana’s Office of Facility Planning and Control, and Knud E. Berthelsen, Professor of Practice and Senior Advisor for AI Literacy at Tulane University. Baker helps oversee the planning and delivery of state-funded capital projects and brings firsthand experience with Louisiana’s Construction Manager at Risk process. He will join a panel focused on CMAR procurement, offering a state-level perspective on the administration of public CMAR construction projects and contracts. Berthelsen’s work focuses on applied AI literacy and helping professionals and organizations understand how AI works and how to use it effectively. He will join a panel focused on AI integration in the construction industry, bringing a practical perspective on the use and impact of AI across organizations and industries.
The Blueprint Conference, hosted by Riess LeMieux, brings together more than 400 developers, contractors, designers, engineers, attorneys, insurance professionals and other leaders from across the construction industry for a full day of panels and industry-focused discussions. This year’s conference looks at upcoming work, the rise of CMAR, and the decisions, risks, and fine points that can make or break a project.
“A construction project depends on people in very different roles making decisions that affect one another,” said Christopher K. LeMieux, Founding Partner at Riess LeMieux. “We created The Blueprint Conference to bring those perspectives together and give attendees useful information they can take back to their own projects. Five years later, that mission is stronger than ever as we continue helping the industry build smarter, communicate better, and deliver more successful projects.”
The conference program will address the legal, financial, operational, and technical issues that can influence project success from early planning through completion. Each session will bring together professionals with different roles and perspectives to examine common challenges, share practical lessons learned, and discuss strategies attendees can apply to their own projects.
The conference agenda will feature discussions on:
• What Worries Your Chief Legal Officer
• CMAR Procurement, Selection, Trends, and Changes
• Economic Development Keynote
• AI Integration with Your Construction Business
• Ask the Insurance Experts
• Cases and Cocktails
With practical education, cross-disciplinary discussions, and multiple networking opportunities to connect with industry leaders, The Blueprint Conference continues to be one of the region’s premier events for construction professionals. Attendance is free, but advance registration is required due to limited capacity.
