ATLANTA , GA, UNITED STATES, August 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Diaspora Creatives Awards (DCA) has announced that its inaugural awards ceremony will take place on November 21, 2026, at Atlanta Virtual Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing together African creatives and cultural contributors from across the global diaspora for an evening of recognition, connection and celebration.
Under the theme “Stars Beyond Borders,” the inaugural Diaspora Creatives Awards will recognize individuals whose creativity, innovation, leadership and cultural influence continue to expand the global reach of African excellence.
Diaspora Creatives Awards is more than an annual ceremony. It is a growing platform created to connect and recognize African talent across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Africa and beyond, while creating greater visibility for creatives building careers and influencing culture outside traditional geographic boundaries.
The inaugural ceremony will bring together artists, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, media professionals, entrepreneurs, industry executives, cultural advocates and members of the African diaspora for an evening centered on achievement, community and African creative excellence.
Awards will include the Diaspora Creative of the Year Award, Diaspora Artist of the Year Award and additional genre and creative-industry categories recognizing achievement across music, entertainment, media, business, culture and the wider creative ecosystem.
Public voting for the inaugural awards is now underway, giving audiences around the world an opportunity to support nominated creatives across multiple categories through the official Diaspora Creatives Awards voting platform.

Diaspora Creatives Awards represents an expansion of that work into a global platform dedicated to African creative recognition, storytelling and connection.
Beyond its inaugural ceremony, DCA’s long-term vision is to strengthen connections among African creatives across borders, amplify emerging and established voices, encourage collaboration and create opportunities for African talent throughout the global creative economy.
Diaspora Creatives Awards 2026 will take place Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Atlanta Virtual Studios, 4485 Fulton Industrial Blvd., Suite I, Atlanta, GA 30336. Red carpet begins at 6:00 PM, followed by the awards ceremony from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM and the official after party from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
