West-side company that began with one man cutting grass in Delhi now builds retaining walls and patios and runs a Sayler Park materials yard open to the public
CINCINNATI, OH, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Priority Lawn & Landscape, a west-side company that started with one man cutting grass in Delhi Township in 2021, has rebranded as Priority Landscape & Outdoor Living, owner Johnny Perry said Tuesday. The new name follows the company’s move into retaining walls, patios and a Sayler Park materials yard that opened to the public in March.
Priority has grown from Perry working alone in 2022 to a staff of six, three grounds crews and a part-time tree division, and it has built about 53 retaining walls and 35 paver patios, most of them in the past two years. The rebrand includes a new legal name, recorded by the Ohio secretary of state’s office effective Aug. 14, a new logo and a new website at prioritycincy.com.
“We started as a lawn care company and grew into a full-service outdoor living company,” Perry said. “Somebody who needs a wall built shouldn’t have to guess from our name whether we build them.”
The company was not sold. Perry, who registered the business in January 2022, bought the 1.2-acre lot at 7501 Gracely Drive in June 2025 and opened the yard to the public March 20. Homeowners and contractors can pull in and buy mulch, topsoil, limestone, decorative stone and road salt by the scoop, loaded at no charge, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
Priority’s crews spread about 760 yards of mulch a year, and the yard sold roughly 60 more to walk-in customers in its first season. The company bought 100 tons of road salt last October, its first winter with storage on site, and says it is the only local source selling salt by the scoop, which matters in the week before a storm.
Perry did not plan on landscaping. He earned a biology degree with a chemistry minor at Mount St. Joseph University in Delhi Township and was headed for physician assistant school when the pandemic changed his mind.
“I decided I wanted something of my own, and I already knew how to do this work,” he said. “A place of our own, with a yard people can pull into, has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.”
The new website, designed and built by Cincy Digital, a Cincinnati digital marketing agency, sorts the work into hardscaping, landscaping, seasonal services, commercial and materials. The new logo, a block letter P with a stone wall coursed into its base and a leaf across the front, was prepared for commercial use by Slusher Signs.
Cincinnati Family Magazine readers voted Priority their No. 1 lawn care service in the 2025 Family Favorites Reader’s Choice awards. The company holds Ohio Department of Agriculture applicator license No. 172776 and maintains grounds for more than 15 property management companies and the Delhi Township town center.
